Roland announced an improved version of SPD-SX Special Edition, the popular SPD-SX sampling pad. The SPD-SX special edition offers all the standard SPD-SX features with a widely expanded built-in storage capacity. Users can store up to 16 GB of samples on board, so no external memory is required.
The SPD-SX Special Edition also features distinctive Sparkling Red paint and includes an Ableton Live Lite software license that maximizes the song and sample workflow with the device.
The Roland SPD-SX sampling pad is the professional tourism standard for custom designs, loops, and even full-backs. It also supports real-time sampling with its unique Multi-Pad sampling feature. With its expanded memory, SPD-SX Special Edition supports up to 50 hours of mono samples.
This allows busy gamers to load all required studio-quality WAV patterns into the device and provide greater convenience and versatility in using the sampling pad in different situations like live and shooting.
The integration of the SPD-SX special edition with the supplied Ableton Live Lite music software offers highly flexible production and sample creation options. Sounds played in Ableton Live Lite can be tested in the SPD-SX special edition, and the audio recorded on the recordings can be recorded in the software.
The SPD-SX Special Edition can also be used as MIDI keyboard control to record expressive MIDI tracks in Ableton Live Lite or any popular DAW. Connecting the sampling pad to a computer requires only a USB cable.
SPD-SX Special Edition also has Roland SPD-SX Wave Manager software. With a user-friendly interface, users can directly import audio files from the computer to the instrument, assign templates, and easily organize directories with thousands of designs.
In addition to the advanced features, the SPD-SX special edition is bright red, giving a distinctive appearance to other devices on stage.
